Mask Eye Piece

I tried to make an eye piece straight from the blueprint. After completing it, I think I'll use the front blueprint to make a different, more defined hexagon eye piece.

Base Mask Finished

After some design changes, I abstractly refit the mask to the blueprint.

Further Modeling of the Mask

I've cut the face in half to make symmetry. I've also been tweaking proportions.

Beginning the 3D model

I've started the model, modeling the basic face shape and then cutting out an eye hole.

Mask project

This is my inspiration padlet for my mask project. I already have a good concept of what I want to do.

3D Arm!

I've been working on 3D modeling the arm, and I've created most of the shapes in the blueprint. So far I have the base arm and the forearm armor. It isn't perfect and I have a lot to learn, but I'm proud of what I have so far and plan to add more detail in time.

COMPLETED Arm Blueprint

This is the final form of the arm blueprint; while it's still not perfect and lacks detail, this is what I'll be taking into Maya to 3D model.

More Arm Blueprint

I've completed the exterior side view, and begun the interior.

Final Arm Blueprint: Front view

I'm cranking out the arm of my design so that I'll have something to submit when the deadline comes around. I completed the clean design of the front view.

Ncloth

This is he result of my experimentation with nCloths; I created my initials, GTI, as a passive collider, and then draped an nCloth plane over it using the silk preset with a stretch resistance of 0.

Maya Dynamics Tutorial

I've started a new semester, and we're going to start learning about Maya effects. I was asked to find a tutorial on something I'm interested in learning, so I found this page about creating smoke effects using Maya's fluid dynamics.
