3D Arm!

I've been working on 3D modeling the arm, and I've created most of the shapes in the blueprint. So far I have the base arm and the forearm armor. It isn't perfect and I have a lot to learn, but I'm proud of what I have so far and plan to add more detail in time.

COMPLETED Arm Blueprint


This is the final form of the arm blueprint; while it's still not perfect and lacks detail, this is what I'll be taking into Maya to 3D model.

I've completed the exterior side view, and begun the interior.

I'm cranking out the arm of my design so that I'll have something to submit when the deadline comes around. I completed the clean design of the front view.

CD: Improved Final Design

The previous final design was sloppy, and rethinking the design I decided a treaded design would be better. This is a cleaner, reworked front view.

This is the final blueprint of my current mech design; while I may digitally remaster it later, this is an accurate, final hand sketch.

CD: Development Sketches

After brainstorming with thumbnails, these are the development stages of my final design.

I started with a detailed sketch, and then drew out the shapes I liked separately. I also happen to be god awful at breaking limbs down into simple shapes.
